I did it again …

Life got in the way of keeping this updated :)

Things “should” go a little more smoothly now.
Last night was a blast we stayed out way too long can’t say that I am feeling too hot today.Preston is still sleeping …
If anyone remembers my cell phone dilemma …yes I did it again. I put the damn thing in the washer …….
Just unbelievable ……so if you cannot reach me..that would be why ;)

I cannot believe its November already. Where did the time go?
Installed Windows7 in all the computers now. Not too shabby I must say.
Ugh I need a nap …

See you all tomorrow :)

Almost Friday

What a long day this was ..ugh glad it’s over.

The weather today hit mid 90’s. It’s suppose to be the last hurrah this weekend .
About time too ..my friends from Europe are already posting snow pictures on FB lol
Cannot even begin to relate to that.

I woke up this morning and I had this song stuck in my head.

No idea why but its been with me all day . Red Wings won tonight so I guess it ended all on a good note….

Ouch !

I had the bright idea to change my work-out routine today :)
My abs are soo sore its not even funny. Yes I know its a good thing but damn …

Oh look my battery light is flashing I guess thats a hint ..*snickers*

I hope all of you have a pleasant evening and I will see you all tomorrow :)

Monday Oct 12th 2009

Hey all ,

today was pretty mellow I guess. Not too much going on.
There are so many ideas floating around in my head I’m exhausted from just thinking.
I hate that…I need to find a way to channel this pandemonium into some productivity.
Unfortunately everything I want to do is very time intensive ;(

I cannot believe its October already. Before you’ll know it’s Christmas again ugh.
Last year I bought everything last minute and it created more stress than necessary.
Lets hope that I can avoid that dilemma this year. I pretty much figured out what everyone is getting.

NOTHING !! ( kidding)

I set myself a goal to be done by Thanksgiving …we’ll see how that will work out :)

Remember when..?

Its such a small world after-all . I ran into a couple dear old classmates of mine in Tucson today. We attended ESK together while our parents were stationed in Germany. Wow what a trip to the past. lol

One memory that stood out was Madame Chevalier’s French class…

La Cigale et la Fourmi
by Jean de La Fontaine

La cigale ayant chanté
Tout l’été,
Se trouva fort dépourvue
Quand la bise fut venue :
Pas un seul petit morceau
De mouche ou de vermisseau.
Elle alla crier famine
Chez la fourmi sa voisine,
La priant de lui prêter
Quelque grain pour subsister
Jusqu’à la saison nouvelle.
« Je vous paierai, lui dit-elle,
Avant l’août, foi d’animal,
Intérêt et principal. »
La fourmi n’est pas prêteuse :
C’est là son moindre défaut.
« Que faisiez-vous au temps chaud ?
Dit-elle à cette emprunteuse.
— Nuit et jour à tout venant
Je chantais, ne vous déplaise.
— Vous chantiez ? J’en suis fort aise :
Eh bien ! Dansez maintenant. »

All of us were still able to recite this poem..even after all these years hah :)
Madame Chevalier made a lasting impression …

Saturday

Ugh I’m so sleepy. I cleaned all day..went on a hike with the dogs and now I’m watching the RedWings vs WA.
Good game so far at least Hockey is back !!! They won’t make it in the playoffs this year but I still like to watch :)

Hope you all have a great weekend :)

The Battle for COP Keating (and how to donate to help the troops of 361 Cav)

Battle participant: “most people back home dont even know, no one gives a shit”

The American Legion does, and we’re going to prove it.

NUMEROUS UPDATES AT BOTTOM, PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS POST.

[NOTE: In the battle for Combat Outpost Keating, the men of Bravo Troop 361 Cavalry lost every possession they had, save for the clothes on their backs. Following this blog posting is information on how to donate to the Combat Outpost Keating Relief Fund. These men have lost friends, their outpost, and all their belongings. One soldier who made it out wrote that “most people back home dont even know, no one gives a shit”. Well, many of us do. And you can prove it by giving whatever you can.]

Last weekend the insurgents attacked two Combat Outposts in the Nuristan region of Afghanistan. Before we delve into the day-long battle and the aftermath, watch these videos from COP Keating that were taken this summer by Britain’s Channel 4 News photographer Stuart Webb.

Go read..view the videos and donate plz

What a good break that was

I am so glad I stepped off this past weekend and regrouped. Much needed I feel 100% better !

So whats going on …

An update in my fight against the US Army Finance Department.

It appears that I made an impression on the Finance People I been fighting with.

After I got the Army Inspector General’s Office involved their tune changed very quickly.

As of today they only request that I will fill out the paperwork again to the “best of my recollection” and not to worry about the receipts that THEY lost 4 years ago.

Yeah thats not good enough for me either. Why you may ask? Let me tell you

Because now it boils down to fudging paperwork that THEY screwed up/lost and I’m not doing it either.

I could just do it and get this done and over with BUT..I was raised with integrity.

Out of pure principle …..I am not doing this but turning this also back over to the IG Office.

You guys will STOP screwing soldiers over…or at least think about it twice.

It makes me feel good if it doesn’t do anything else….lol

Refraining …? lol

Ok so we all have our limits. I have reached mine. I ordered myself to take a few days away from “user contact” just simply because I cannot find an ounce of patience within me. I am still around doing other things but mainly.. I don’t want to hear it.

I don’t feel well and I don’t need it :)

September 29th

This week just seems to drag on.It’s only Tuesday and I am already exhausted.
I am still fighting with these Allergies and its really getting old.Tomorrow its suppose to be super windy which is just going to kick this crap right back up in the air. Not amused.

Something else that doesn’t amuse me this this :

Beginning Wednesday, anyone with a state-issued permit to carry a concealed weapon will be able to bring it into a bar or restaurant where beer, wine or liquor is sold. It will be up to business owners to post a “no weapons” sign if they don’t want their patrons to be armed.

Only those who have a CCW permit can legally be armed where alcohol is served. These people have undergone background checks, some training on the law and the use of deadly force and some proof they know how to handle their guns.

And anyone who is armed is not permitted to drink.

Ok before I go further I do have to say I also have a CCW permit HOWEVER I would never walk in a bar carrying a gun nor do I not support this.

Another allows people to bring their weapons into parking lots and garages as long as they leave them in the vehicle. And a third permits someone who feels threatened to “display” to another that he or she is armed without being charged with intimidation.

Nor would I store it in my car.Seeing we live right at the Mexican Boarder thats a rather dumb thing to do seeing were number 13 in the nation for Car- Theft. If the weapon is concealed how the hell would the bar-owner know that the person drinking has one? hm???? Is everyone a responsible citizen just because they went through some training? Are you people HIGH?

I think my clubbing days have finally come to an end.
